RCMP renew plea for help finding Alberta woman who vanished almost 2 months ago

The RCMP have renewed a plea for help from the public as they try to find a 22-year-old woman who went missing eight weeks ago.

According to police, Christine Cardinal was last seen about one kilometre north of the Bison Auto gas station in Saddle Lake, Alta. on the morning of Oct. 13, 2016.

At the time, she was wearing a grey sweater and black shorts and had no shoes on.

Mounties said officers conducted a search involving rescue teams, Police Dog Services and RCMP Air Services in an attempt to find Cardinal but their efforts were unsuccessful.

According to police, Cardinal has not been in contact with her family since being reported missing and there is “concern for her well-being.”

Cardinal is 5’9″ and 123 pounds. She has long black hair and brown eyes. She also had a scar on her right bicep and a cut on her top lip. The letters “ns” are tattooed on her left hand.

Anyone with information about Cardinal’s whereabouts is asked to contact the St. Paul RCMP detachment at 780-645-8888 or to call their local police department. Tips can also be anonymously submitted by contacting Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online.

Saddle Lake is about 170 kilometres northeast of Edmonton.
