CAA Saskatchewan Manager of Fleet Operations Dave Wiwchar says it is important for all operators to be up to date with safety regulations.

“Just doing their jobs correctly, and safely and efficiently,” Wiwchar said.

Wiwchar says the course gives insight into what tow truck operators need to do in order to complete this task safely.

“Just rigging the vehicle correctly to flip it over, and tying the vehicles down correctly onto the tow trucks so they don’t hop off the wheel lifts and skid out in traffic,” Wiwchar said.

This hands-on demonstration was lead by Bruce Campbell, who provides all of WreckMaster’s training. He shared his expertise and emphasized the importance of safe roadside assistance for both the operator and the motorist.
