When Justin Bieber and his management team announced last week that the singer would no longer be doing any fan meet-and-greets on his Purpose tour, it’s no surprise that Beliebers were displeased.
Now it’s gone to a whole other level, when fans who decided to keep their $2,000 “premium backstage” tickets went behind the curtain to discover a Bieber cardboard cut-out waiting for them.

Last Wednesday, Bieber announced on Instagram that he would no longer be appearing at the meet-and-greets. His management team said it’s due to a “security incident.” (The Canadian singer has been meeting with his fans for years.)
Fans who have purchased the backstage opportunity (a.k.a. an “I’ll Show You” VIP package) will not be refunded unless they also forego their ticket to the show; there are no partial refunds.
He said:
“I enjoy meeting such incredible people but I end up feeling so drained and filled with so much of other people’s spiritual energy that I end up so drained and unhappy … Want to make people smile and happy but not at my expense and I always leave feeling mentally and emotionally exhausted to the point of depression … The pressure of meeting people’s expectations of what I’m supposed to be is so much for me to handle and a lot on my shoulders.”
