The Cinemark chain of movie theatres has threatened to boycott showing the movie if a plan that would make Tower Heist available on-demand goes through. In what’s being called an unprecedented experiment, Universal Pictures will make Tower Heist available on-demand to over 500,000 Comcast subscribers – just three weeks after the movie debuts in theatres.

Tower Heist hits theatres on November 4.
