Officers were called to the corner of Gage Avenue North and Cannon Street East just after 12:30 a.m., after receiving reports of a shooting involving multiple victims.

Upon arrival, officers located three victims, all males in their 50s, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police say the victims were transported to the Hamilton General Hospital where they remain in stable condition.

There were approximately eight people in the home at the time of the shooting. No one else was injured, police say.

Police said the suspect is believed to have gone to the residence looking for a specific person. A disturbance ensued when the suspect was told to leave the home, during which the three men were shot.

The suspect then fled the area on foot.

Investigators are asking residents and businesses in the neighbourhood to check their security systems between the hours of 12 a.m. and 1:30 a.m., for the suspect, a male wearing a red hoodie and red pants.
