Kevin was born and raised in Toronto, attending the Claude Watson School for the Arts, the first arts school of its kind in Canada. Acting, singing, dancing and visual art consumed his youth. Kevin continued with the Arts program in high school until a classmate (multiple major tennis champion Daniel Nestor) suggested he take up tennis. Kevin trained for three years at the National Tennis Centre before heading to the University of Tulsa on a tennis scholarship.

During his third year of university, Kevin pursued sports broadcasting. In 1996 he was hired by NBC in Joplin, Missouri as a news and sports reporter. In 1997, Kevin accepted the job of weekend sports anchor for Global News here in Calgary. It was a great decision, Kevin thinks the west is the best and is here to stay.

Away from the sports scene, Kevin can be found watching his seven-year-old daughter Rya at her cheer competitions, and headbanging at the concerts of his 12-year-old son Jaxon. Jax is an accomplished drummer with over two million youtube views.

Personally, Kevin’s favorite music is Rush, Tool, U2, Muse and anything Jack White does. Apocalypse Now, Shawshank Redemption, The Unforgiven, Pulp Fiction and anything Clint Eastwood does are among the list of his favorite movies.

Fun facts: Don’t drive stick, hunt and peck typer.
