Reporter
Angela Jung joined Global BC in 2023.
She is a multimedia journalist with an insatiable appetite to learn. Originally from Vancouver, her journalism career took her to various parts of the country, including the Okanagan, Edmonton and Hamilton.
Angela is a general assignment reporter and enjoys covering a breadth of topics. You may find her in the courthouse or in the epicentre of a wildfire. She is passionate about shining a spotlight on social inequalities and helping to amplify the voices of marginalized people.
Her resume includes working as an anchor, producer, assignment editor, web writer, camera operator and video editor. The industry and news consumption continue to evolve and there is no other career she’d rather have.
Since Angela was a girl, she aspired to be Connie Chung and Lisa Ling. Seeing was believing and thanks to the trailblazing Asian female journalists, she had the confidence to follow in their footsteps. This is why she is proud to be working at Global BC, a diverse newsroom that reflects the community of the Lower Mainland.
When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and dog and travelling the world. Sixteen countries and counting…
