Saskatchewan not using AstraZeneca as ‘first-dose strategy’ due to supply, looking at options for 2nd dose
Description
May 11, 2021
Saskatchewan Health Authority CEO Scott Livingstone said Tuesday that they were not using AstraZeneca as a "first dose strategy" due to supply and were in turn looking at options for a second dose, such as potential vaccine mixing with the Pfizer-BioNTech shot. Chief medical officer of health Dr. Saqib Shahab added either AstraZeneca or Pfizer as a second dose was "perfectly fine" and highly effective.
