Westbank First Nation has treated more than 400 hectares of forested land in an effort to reduce the risk of wildfire

While the Okanagan was spared this year–the valley has been hard hit in recent years by raging wildfires. But efforts are underway to remove dangerous fuel build-up in forests. One group very proactive in doing fuel modification work is the Westbank First Nation. As Klaudia Van Emmerik reports, WFN crews have already treated more than 400 hectares of forest since 2014.
