More evacuees who were forced to flee the Philpott Road wildfire last week were able to return home Monday. Numerous evacuation orders were downgraded as the fire moved away from some neighbourhoods east of Kelowna. However, the community of Joe Rich is not out of the woods when it comes to being entirely safe from the nearby flames. The nearly 500 hectare wildfire remains largely uncontained.
