The plan to close a major beach access road in Vernon to build a new pathway has been driving controversy in the north Okanagan. Now Vernon city council is changing those plans in an effort to fast track construction. But as Megan Turcato reports, it hasn't appeased local businesses worried about the shut down's impact on their bottom lines.
