Safe Injection Sites

Interior Health has identified possible locations for safe injection sites in Kamloops and Kelowna. The health authority declared a public health emergency in April after experiencing a huge increase in the number of overdose deaths. In Kelowna, 477 Leon Avenue is being considered as a permanent site, while the authority would like to put a mobile unit in the city - as well as one in Kamloops. Residents can weigh in by logging onto the Interior Health website - and filling out the online feedback form
