The offence happened in the early morning hours of Wednesday in downtown Kelowna and was caught on the store’s security video and shared with Global News.
There is no word from police on whether this incident has any connection to a recent cull of ostriches at a farm in Edgewood, where avian flu had been detected last December.
The CFIA said the farm owners failed to report the initial cases of illness and deaths when the herd was infected.
