Alberta election 2023 results: Calgary-Fish Creek

Global News is projecting Myles McDougall will win the Calgary-Fish Creek seat for the United Conservative Party.

Calgary-Fish Creek is a provincial riding located in Calgary. This riding is currently represented by United Conservative MLA Richard Gotfried, who first took office in 2015.

Gotfried collected 15,975 votes, winning 61.52 per cent of the vote in the 2019 Alberta provincial election.

On Sep. 29. 2022, Gotfried announced he would not seek re-election in 2023, citing the need to “refocus (his) connections in the community, his multicultural roots” and relationships with the private and not-for-profit sectors.

The southern Calgary riding has voted in representatives from the right of the political spectrum since the riding was created in 1979.
