A 62-year-old man is dead following a collision in southwestern Alberta on Thursday morning.
Pincher Creek RCMP said they were called to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 3, just east of Highway 785, shortly after 11 a.m.
Police said a sedan was attempting to pass another vehicle when it collided head on with a westbound pickup truck.

The driver of the sedan — a 62-year-old man from Blairmore, Alta., — was declared dead at the scene, RCMP said.

The driver of the pickup suffered minor injuries, according to police.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist was called to where the collision took place.
Police said no further information will be released.
