New comedy radio station launches in Calgary

CALGARY – There’s something funny about Calgary’s newest radio station.

You’ll no longer hear the sounds of country crooners if you tune to 1060 on your AM radio dial; instead, the station has switched to Calgary’s first comedy radio station.

The flip from Classic Country AM 1060 to Funny 1060 happened on September 12th.

Funny 1060 will feature standup comedy 24/7, including comedians like Jerry Seinfeld, Ellen DeGeneres and Dennis Miller.

According to Wikipedia, it will be the first time in 21 years the station will no longer be playing music.
