The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) is putting out hot spots on a warehouse fire in the North End.
District Chief Dean Neubauer said the WFPS was called to the blaze just before 2 a.m. Friday in the 0-100 bock of Charles Street.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, crews reportedly saw flames and smoke coming from the building.
Neubauer said about 10 trucks were part of battling the blaze, including a ladder truck that is still putting hot spots as of Friday morning.
No injuries were reported and no one was believed to be inside, Neubauer added.
The building is considered a write-off, and the remaining parts of the structure will have to come down.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
Crews are expected to remain at the scene well into the morning, and residents are being asked to avoid the area at this time.
