Emergency crews rushed to battle a vehicle fire at Kelowna’s Super Save gas station Tuesday afternoon.
The blaze erupted near Highway 33 and Mills Road just after 4:30 p.m.
The fire department said a holiday campervan was filling up with propane when sparks ignited.
Three engines, fifteen firefighters, a command unit and a rescue truck all responded.
Highway 33 was closed in both directions during the busy after-work commute because of the blaze, which is not considered suspicious.
The fire department said the van is a writeoff, and the gas station will also have to repair some damages.
There were no injuries.
