CALGARY – A 26-year-old man accused of killing a Calgary mother and her young son made his first court appearance on Tuesday.
Chona Manzano, 35, and her 5-year-old son Gabriel Manzano were found dead in their Evanston home on May 16th.
The following day, police charged Guevara Wilson Clorina with two counts of second-degree murder.
Clorina appeared in court via CCTV on Tuesday.
His case has been put over until Monday, to give him time to find a lawyer.
Police have said he is related to the victims, but isn’t an immediate family member, and didn’t live in the same home as them.
