UPDATE: Police investigate after woman, boy die in NW Calgary home

CALGARY- Police are investigating after two bodies were found in the northwest community of Evanston.

Officers were called by a neighbour to the 200 block of Evanspark Circle just before 1 p.m. on Thursday.

When they arrived, they found a woman and a boy serious medical distress inside a home. Both died at the scene.

Nobody else was found inside the home, and police say the father, and other children have been safely accounted for.

“I heard loud voices earlier. I was loading the truck, and I went back inside,” says one neighbour. “When I came back out, all the police cars were here.”

After speaking with witnesses, police began searching for a vehicle that was seen leaving the scene. A man driving the vehicle was pulled over on the highway near Didsbury around 3:30 p.m. and was taken in by RCMP for questioning. He was later transferred to the Foothills Hospital.
