Man in life-threatening condition after Deerfoot Trail crash in Calgary

One man is in life-threatening condition following a crash on Deerfoot Trail in Calgary.

It happened early Saturday morning in the northbound lanes of Deerfoot Trail between Glenmore Trail and the Calf Robe Bridge.

First responders arrived on scene shortly after 5:45 a.m. and transported one man to Foothills Medical Centre in life-threatening condition.

Police asked drivers to find an alternate route because northbound Deerfoot Trail was closed between Glenmore Trail and the Calf Robe Bridge.

YYC Transportation said the incident was cleared by 11:30 a.m.

The crash is under investigation.
