A small Manitoba town is now left without a popular place to buy groceries after a fire destroyed their food store.
Treherne Fire Department posted online that they were called to the food store on Saturday.
Crews described the blaze as a “hard fought fire”- but due to the wind conditions, the building is now a total loss.
Residents nearby brought crews sandwiches and coffee as they worked to fight the flames.
Many locals posted online in shock, one resident saying, “These fires are so devastating for our small communities.”
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
