Abbotsford police are investigating after a man and an 11-year-old boy were struck by a vehicle on Sunday morning.
The incident happened at the intersection of Montrose and Essendene avenues around 10:10 a.m.
Police said the collision left the man in hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Police say the child did not require medical attention, though may have been bruised, and that witnesses said he appeared to have been only “brushed” by the vehicle.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
Investigators said the Abbotsford police collision analytics team was called to the scene, and closed the intersection for several hours.
It has since been reopened.
