A pedestrian who was struck by a pickup truck earlier this month in the community of Mount Pleasant has died, Calgary police said Tuesday.
On the morning of Jan. 9, a southbound Ford F150 was turning on to 26 Avenue N.W. and hit a woman who was walking her dog, according to police Sgt. Colin Foster.
The woman suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Foothills Medical Centre, he said.
The dog survived the ordeal, Foster added.
The driver stayed at the scene, and speed and alcohol are not considered factors in the crash, he said.
Police said Tuesday they continue to investigate the incident.
