One man charged, another being sought, in Hamilton’s 8th homicide of 2018

Hamilton police have charged one man and say they are looking for at least one other male suspect in the city’s eighth homicide of the year.

The victim has been identified as 53-year-old Michel Pilon.

Police say Pilon’s body was found in an apartment on Melvin Avenue at Parkdale at about 1:30 a.m. Friday.

Hamilton police say they have charged George Opassinis, 55, with first degree murder.
