TORONTO – Canadian pop star Justin Bieber could face criminal charges in Los Angeles after allegedly spitting on and threatening to kill a neighbour.

Bieber, who was at his Calabasas home Tuesday on a short break from the overseas leg of his Believe tour, was allegedly racing his Ferrari up and down the streets of his gated community when a neighbour complained.

According to celebrity website TMZ, the 19-year-old singer is accused of spitting on the man, ordering him off his property and telling him, “I’m gonna f**king kill you.”

The victim, reportedly a 47-year-old father of three, filed a battery report with police.

The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident, and the case could be referred to the District Attorney for prosecution.

Citing sources, TMZ reported Wednesday that Bieber denies spitting on the man or threatening him.
