The SPCA in New Brunswick is investigating after a witness reported seeing a kitten thrown from a moving vehicle in Fredericton on Friday.
In a Facebook post, New Brunswick SPCA Animal Protection said they received a call from a bystander who witnessed the incident on Riocan Avenue, in the Corbett Centre just before noon.

The SPCA says the nine-week-old kitten was seen running into a parking lot and up into an engine block of a parked car.
An animal protection officer and the Fredericton Police Force responded to the scene and were able to rescue the kitten by removing the wheel of the vehicle.

The short-haired male kitten was seen by a vet and is uninjured, but suffering from an upper respiratory infection.
The SPCA described the suspect vehicle as an older burnt orange hatchback with multiple occupants inside at the time of the incident.
