Editor’s note: Halifax police issued an update just before 2 p.m. to say they have identified the man in the photo and thank the public for the assistance.
Halifax Regional Police have released a photo of a man suspected of inappropriately touching several women at a children’s pool earlier this month.
Police say they responded to the Bedford Outdoor Pool at 277 Shore Dr. just after 9 p.m. on July 5.

Several women had reported being touched while they were in the children’s pool area.

The suspect is described as a white man in his late 20s to early 30s. He was about five feet 10 inches tall and weighed 200 pounds.
The suspect had blue eyes, brown shaggy hair and a full brown beard that was about one-inch long.
At the time of the incident, he was wearing a chain with a cross pendant, black exercise shorts and a white T-shirt.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 902-490-5020 or submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
