The Saturday Night Live cast member confirmed their rumoured engagement to Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show.

Fallon put Davidson on the spot Wednesday, telling him he didn’t have to get engaged to Grande to come on the talk show.

“But I did, though,” Davidson replied.

Fallon congratulated the comedian and shook his hand. “You know we love her so much and we love you too,” Fallon said.

“Thank you, I feel like I won a contest, it’s so sick. It’s f**king lit Jimmy,” Davidson said.

When asked how he was handling “it all,” most likely referring to the press fascination over the engagement, he added, “It’s so funny when you’re walking down the street, and dudes, they’re like …” he said, tipping his hat.

He compared the experience to a famous Gatorade ad. “You ever see that Derek Jeter commercial and he’s retiring and everyone just tips their hat?” he asked.

“Some dude came up to me and he was like, ‘Yo man, you like, gave me hope.’ I was like, ‘I didn’t know I was that ugly,'” Davidson shared.

Fallon told Davidson that his set for the Tonight Show could be a good place to get married.

“That’s not happening. … Sure, we could do that. But why do people care? It’s very weird. It’s weird because the president is trying to pardon himself, and he’s like f**king a porn star, shouldn’t we care about that?” Davidson said.

“No, we want to know what you’re wearing,” Fallon said while laughing.

The No Tears Left To Cry singer shared a new video of her fiancé in an Instagram story. “A perfect specimen,” she captioned the footage that showed Davidson waving and blowing a kiss at her.

The comedian proposed with a three-carat engagement ring from jeweller Greg Yuna, for which he reportedly paid US$93,000 in May.

Grande and Davidson reportedly began dating in May after Grande’s breakup with Mac Miller. Davidson and girlfriend Cazzie David also split around the same time.
