A driver in northern Alberta is shaken but uninjured after their vehicle was damaged by gunfire on Tuesday morning.
At around 9:30 a.m., police said a vehicle was two kilometres north of Wapiti Bridge travelling south on Highway 40 when the driver heard a loud noise and realized the windshield had been damaged.
Police believe the damage was caused by a firearm.
This is the latest in a series of reports of gunfire on Highway 40. Late last year, at least three vehicles were shot at on the busy highway. Police said this incident is not believed to be related to the previous reports.
