Victim identified in Montgomery shooting

Calgary police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting in the community of Montgomery on Saturday morning.

Emergency crews were called to the 4600 block of Bowness Road N.W. at around 5:30 a.m. for reports of a man in medical distress.

Police said the man had suffered critical injuries in a shooting and died in hospital a short time later.

On Tuesday, police revealed the victim was 44-year-old Arnold Kerfont of Calgary.

Investigators are continuing to canvass the neighbourhood and speak with witnesses.
