Jennifer Lawrence taking a 2-year break from acting

Jennifer Lawrence is taking some much needed time to relax.

The Mother! star told the Today show on Thursday that she will be taking a two year absence from acting. “I’m taking [a break]. I don’t have anything set for two years,” the Oscar-winner revealed.

Lawrence, 27, currently has two movies set to release in 2018: Red Sparrow and X-Men: Dark Phoenix. Joking about what she will do with all her free time, Lawrence suggested she may “start making pots.”

The actress has had a busy run since making her professional credited acting debut in 2008. Lawrence has played a role in three movies almost every year from 2008 to 2016, including high-profile gigs in The Hunger Games franchise and the X-Men film series.

Discussing her new movie, Mother!, Lawrence revealed the film’s dark content followed her off the film’s set. Lawrence confessed she had to listen to Christmas music just to get the movie out of her head.

Mother! premieres in North America on Friday.
