Fire crews were called to reports of a grass fire near Springbank, Alta., at around 12 p.m. on Sunday.
The stubborn fire grew to three hectares in size near Township Road 251A.
Dry conditions and low humidity fed the flames.
Firefighters from Rockyview Country, Cochrane and Calgary managed to contain the fire to a wooded area after several hours.
