Teen seriously injured in Southwood stabbing: Calgary police

WATCH: A teen was seriously injured in a stabbing that happened during a gathering at a home in the 100 block of Sabrina Way S.W. on Thursday. Doug Vaessen has details – Jan 20, 2017

Calgary police are investigating a stabbing in the community of Southwood on Thursday that left a teen badly injured.

It happened during a gathering in the 100 block of Sabrina Way S.W. at around 10:30 p.m.

Police said someone called 911 to say one of his friends was stabbing another.

EMS took an 18-year-old man to hospital with the help of a police escort. The victim was transported in life-threatening condition with stab wounds to his upper torso. His condition was latee upgraded to stable.

Officers detained several people in the home for questioning.

Police are searching for the 18-year-old man suspected of being responsible for the attack.
