The Vernon Atrium Hotel in Vernon has a new owner and is returning to its former name.

Prestige Hotels and Resorts has announced that it has purchased the hotel for an undisclosed amount.

The company says not much will change as a result of the acquisition other than the name.

It says the hotel will return to its original name — The Vernon Lodge.

There are also plans for the addition of Don Cherry’s Sports Grill.

The Prestige now owns 12 locations across B.C.
