Calgary man killed in Highway 1 crash

A 32-year-old Calgary man was killed in a collision between an SUV and a semi-trailer on Thursday.

Emergency crews were called to a crash on Highway 1 near Scott Lake Hill, west of Calgary, at around 11 p.m.

Cochrane RCMP said the SUV “travelled into the path” of the eastbound semi-trailer.

The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the semi-trailer wasn’t injured.
