The Grammy-winning singer has had multiple run-ins with law enforcement. He spent five years on formal probation after pleading guilty to attacking his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.

Brown also faces charges in connection with driving without a licence and an alleged hit-and-run. In May 2014, he admitted to violating his probation after committing an assault outside of a Washington hotel.
