Forget about roses and chocolate, how about a giant billboard in Los Angeles? Canadian rapper, Drake, bought his rumoured girlfriend Rihanna a billboard congratulating her for an award she’ll be accepting Sunday.

Rihanna, romantically linked to Drake for years now, bragged about the billboard on social media after she saw it while driving in L.A. Friday.  The billboard is placed at the La Tijera exit on the 405 freeway, according to U.S. reports.

“Congratulations to Rihanna from Drake and everyone at OVO,” the billboard reads.

“When he extra,” RiRi wrote on Instagram, snapping a picture of her rumoured beau’s latest romantic gesture.

Rihanna will be accepting the Video Vanguard Award at the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night.

This isn’t the first time Drake has implicitly pointed to their relationship. Last month, the Toronto rapper showed up at the Manchester leg of RiRi’s Anti World Tour.

“The most beautiful, talented woman I’ve ever seen in my life,” he told the crowd after performing their hit single “Work” together.

“She goes by the name of Rihanna…I’m getting my heartbroken over here,” he said.
