Hotel Zed, a 70s inspired retro-hotel across from Kelowna’s City Park, offers a flash from the past at every turn.
There are typewriters at the business centre and roatary dial phones in every room.
Guests are invited to spin 45s on the turntable in the hotel lobby, check out the ping pong room, or get down in the tiny disco.
“Our guests are saying that it’s fun, it’s different,” said Chris Campbell, Director of Sales & Operations for Hotel Zed.
“It’s just funky, right?” one guest said. “Its just cool, it’s different.”
The hotel loans out bicycles and roller skates to guests who want to check out Kelowna’s downtown, and recognizable board games like “Trouble” and “Battleship” for those who want to stay in.
“It’s nice,” another guest said, “little nostalgic moments.”
