Celebrity tributes pour in on Twitter, Instagram for Christina Grimmie

Dozens of celebrities took to Twitter and Instagram Saturday to mourn the passing of budding star Christina Grimmie.

Grimmie, who was best known for coming third on the reality show “The Voice” in 2014, was in Orlando signing autographs after a concert Friday where she was shot and killed.

Some current and former judges from the singing show took to social media to recall her passing.

Many of her former opponents on the Voice also passed along their condolences.

Carson Daly, who was a host and producer of the show, recalled Grimmie as being, “Kind. Funny. Loving. Courageous.”

Long before she was contestant on the Voice, Grimmie went on tour with Selena Gomez. She shared a picture of the pair on Twitter, noting, “my heart is absolutely broken.”

Grimmie got her start as a Youtube sensation, gaining notoriety for her amazing cover versions of pop songs. She was also recalled fondly by other Youtube stars.
