MONTREAL – As the Bal en Blanc, an all-night electronic music festival wrapped up Monday morning, police reported making two arrests.

Two men, both in their 30s, were arrested at the Palais des Congrès on drug related offenses.

The first suspect is facing drug trafficking charges while the second is facing charges of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The indoor rave, now in its 22nd year, is one of the largest festivals of its kind in Canada, attracting over 15,000 participants.

Security was tight at the event, with more than 150 guards and Montreal police officers  responsible for searches at the door.

On top of the two arrests, at least 30 people required medical assistance.

The festival runs for 12 hours, from Sunday 10 p.m. to Monday 10 a.m.
