Saskatchewan spends nearly $17M on portable classrooms

SASKATOON – The Saskatchewan government says it will spend almost $17 million on 46 new portable classrooms. Education Minister Don Morgan says the portables will be in place across the province in time for the next school year.

He says the portables will help support schools with growing student enrolment.

Morgan says the government will also spend $3.4 million to bolster CommunityNet to help schools upgrade high-speed computer bandwidth.

CommunityNet connects schools, regional colleges, public libraries, health agencies and government departments into a private network.
