PENTICTON — The owner of a controversial business in Penticton says he’s not worried after someone firebombed his establishment.
According to police, someone threw a lit mason jar filled with gasoline at the Rush-in and Finish café on Westminster Avenue shortly before 10 p.m. on Tuesday.
The business is also home to Herbal Green compassion club which sells a wide variety of medical marijuana products and does not have a business licence.

Owner Jukka Laurio says he heard the glass jar hit the front window of his business.
“I just looked out my window and there was a fireball so I dialled 9-1-1,” says Laurio.
He says he’s not surprised someone tried to target his business.
“This kind of thing goes with the territory. Not everybody loves me. I don’t think it’s some kind of plot. Just some yahoos who got carried away with their own thoughts and weren’t very good at it.”
The incident was caught on video.
RCMP are looking for two suspects.
“A review of the store video showed two suspects walking past the business then backtracking with one of the individuals throwing the lit jar at the window,” says Cpl. Dan Moskaluk.
Laurio says he will have to replace the window and is installing more surveillance cameras.
“We have no intention of closing,” says Laurio.
