The officers had just parked their car near 71 Ave. and 135 St. Monday at 6:25 p.m.

They identified themselves as police and promptly arrested the 25-year-old man.

“This had the potential to be a frightening incident and we are thankful that our officers were in the right place at the right time to take this person into custody,” says Cpl. Scotty Schumann. “The suspect got the ride he wanted, but probably not to the location he was hoping for.”
