TORONTO — A new teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens debuted Thursday — and it shows Han Solo back on screen with his furry friend Chewbacca.
The second official trailer premiered at the start of the four-day Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, where the franchise’s newest stars Oscar Isaac, John Boyega and Daisy Ridley surprised fans by joining director J.J. Abrams on stage.

Also at the event were original stars Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Anthony Daniels (C3P0) and Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca).
Harrison Ford, who reprises his role as Han Solo in The Force Awakens, is still recovering from injuries sustained in a crash landing last month.
The two-minute preview has the light sabers, fighter jets and Stormtroopers that Star Wars fans know so well — not to mention a droid or two.
The Millenium Falcon, piloted by Solo and his growling Wookiee, also appears in fighting form in the teaser trailer, which builds on the excitement sparked by a shorter one released last November.
Set 30 years after Star Wars: Episode VI – The Return of the Jedi, the highly-anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens on Dec. 18.
