Golfing season underway in Saskatoon

SASKATOON – Golfers itching to play a round or hit a bucket of balls on the driving range are now able to so. The three golf courses operated by the City of Saskatoon are now open.

According to the city’s website, all 18 holes at Wildwood Golf Course are now open for play. This is the 50th anniversary of the course on the east side of the city.

The driving ranges at Holiday Park and Silverwood are also open for those looking to fine-tune their games before playing a round. Officials say both courses are targeted to open late next week.

As for other courses in and around the city, all 12 holes at Greenbrye Golf & Country Club are scheduled to open on April 15, weather permitting.

At Dakota Dunes, the course is scheduled to open for regular play this Saturday. Officials say the course weathered well over the winter and there should be no signs of snow or excessive water on opening day.

Moon Lake is hoping to open by the end of next week and the Willows hopes to be open by the middle of the week.
