WINNIPEG — After only a brief stint on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers active roster running back Sam McGuffie has been given his walking papers by the football club. McGuffie released on Monday after appearing in just 4 games last season.

The Bombers added McGuffie to their practice roster in July but he didn’t get on the active roster until October 3 when the Bombers faced the Ottawa RedBlacks. He had just 8 carries for only 25 yards with no touchdowns. He also had one catch.
