Creating your own wreaths, planters adds personality to holiday decor

WINNIPEG — Holiday decorating can be easier at this time of year with all the selection out there, but why not get creative with your own winter garnish?

By putting together your own planters and wreaths, you can add your own flair and personality to what could be typical holiday decor.

Planters can hold cedar, pine or fir, or combine all three for a fuller look.

Soil or a floral foam both work well as a base for your arrangement. From there you can decorate with branches, flowers and your greenery.
