MANITOU BEACH, Sask. – A famous Saskatchewan landmark is on the market.

Danceland at Manitou Beach is up for sale.

The hall is renowned for its horsehair padded floors, which makes dancing easier. It is one of only a handful of such halls left in North America.

First opened in 1928, Danceland helps attract tens of thousands of people to Manitou Beach each year, which is also famous for its mineral waters.

The hall is open year-round, with dances held every Friday and Saturday evening.

Owner Millie Strueby says it’s been on the market since January.

The asking price? Just under half-a-million dollars.
