Britney Spears posts video message after split from boyfriend

TORONTO — Pop star Britney Spears said late Thursday she was having a bad day — after splitting from boyfriend David Lucado after 18 months.

“If you ever have a really, really, sh**ty day, find someone with shoes with hearts on them,” the 32-year-old singer said in a video posted to Instagram.

Spears aimed the camera at the shoes of a friend and then panned back to her face and — with a forced smile bordering on a cry — added: “Made my day!”

Five hours before posting the clip, Spears confirmed her break-up on Twitter.

Lucado, a lawyer, started dating Spears shortly after she ended her engagement to Jason Trawick.

“I’m in love,” she told Entertainment Tonight last November.

But TMZ reported Thursday a video, shot in early August, shows Lucado making out and dancing with a woman. The website quoted a rep for Lucado calling the incident “unfortunate.”
